Then the job of staging is all about highlighting the features of your home that interest those buyers most, de-emphasizing things that could raise red flags, and helping those future buyers visualize their life in your home. The best staging is about creating an emotional connection.

Here’s what we do

We’ll bring everything to make your home shine online and in-person. When the time is right, we pick it all up and leave your home ready for the new owner.
Planning on staying in your home while it’s on the market? We’ll meet with you and your realtor to discuss what you need to do to get it ready. All the way down to what to stash in storage. At the end, you’ll be left with a punch list and clear direction.
You may decide to stay in your home while it’s on the market, but some of your stuff has to go, and some finishing touches need to be made, including some furnishings and décor. We’ll conduct a staging consult, then install additional staging pieces.

About the Owner

Hi, I’m Heather. After a career in staffing and branding, including 15 years at Microsoft and Amazon, and some independent consulting, it was a personal project that introduced me to the world of home staging.

As a kid, I was the introvert who would spend hours rearranging the furniture in my bedroom for fun. To be honest, I still do that, but it didn’t cross my mind to turn it into a career until my family built a vacation rental property at Seabrook and I took a summer off to furnish and decorate it. It was like a dream. Not only was my right brain on fire, I was also able to apply my previous marketing expertise to understand our target visitor, the type of experience they were looking for and how to attract them to our home over the many others they might be considering. I loved every minute of that summer except the parts that involved an Allen wrench.

Coincidentally, I was starting to plan for my new career journey and by the time our rental went live, I knew I should be combining my love of all things décor with my marketing abilities; particularly my experience in customer research. Home staging became an obvious choice and the opportunity to acquire Essential Home Staging (formerly The Essential Home) fell into my lap. It helped that I adored the previous owner, who is a trusted friend now.

What I love most about home staging is that I help sellers increase the value of their property, and I get to have fun doing it. And I get to work with their realtor to make an otherwise potentially stressful process a hell of a lot easier.
